What you can type
+ - * / or × ÷ | Basic operations, with normal order of operations |
^ | Power: 2^10 = 1024 (right-associative: 2^3^2 = 512) |
sqrt( ), cbrt( ) | Square and cube roots |
sin cos tan asin acos atan | Trigonometry, in degrees or radians |
ln( ), log( ), log2( ) | Natural, base-10 and base-2 logarithms |
5!, 20% | Factorial; percent (÷100) |
pi, e, ans | Constants and the last result |
2(3+4) | Implicit multiplication |
Note that -3^2 is −9, because the power is applied before the minus sign — the same rule as most scientific calculators and maths textbooks.

Frequently asked questions
Does it follow order of operations (BEDMAS)?
Yes: brackets, exponents, division and multiplication, then addition and subtraction.
Why is sin(30) not 0.5?
Check the angle mode. In degrees sin(30) = 0.5; in radians it’s about −0.988.
Can I use my keyboard?
Yes. Type into the expression box and press Enter to save the result to history.
